Industry Champions
Be the role model who changes a young person’s life locally, by showing what is possible. Our Industry Champions inspire and help prepare young people for the world of work, creating new perspectives and inspiring new ideas.
What will I be expected to do as an Industry Champion?
Industry Champions volunteer to share their knowledge, insights and experience to students on an ad-hoc basis. Activities could include:
- Workplace tours and visits
- Career talks
- Career fairs
- Industry immersion days
- Mock interviews
- Hosting work experience
- Mentoring schemes
Why volunteer as an Industry Champion?
- You can play an active role in shaping students’ post-16/18 options;
- You can raise your brand’s profile in our region;
- You can forge links to support your own talent pipelines and future workforce;
- You can boost CPD for you and your staff;
- You can meet educators and other local businesses;
- Share insights and gain fresh perspectives from young people.
How do I become an Industry Champion?
If you are interested in becoming an Industry Champion, please complete the ‘register your interest’ form at the bottom of the page, and tick ‘I would like to receive information/news on volunteering opportunities (Industry Champion)’
You will then be added to our network of Industry Champions, and will receive regular newsletters with upcoming opportunities in schools and colleges across the hub that you can get involved in.
