Industry Partners (Enterprise Advisers)
Our voluntary team of over 100 Industry Partners work as Enterprise Advisers with school and college leaders, and careers teams, to transform careers education provision.
Enterprise Advisers partner with a school or college for a period of time, offering careers education support as a consultant, critical friend and coach, or to support a specific project. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real and lasting impact in the community.
What will I be expected to do as an Industry Partner?
Depending on your skills and/or interests, you may work with a school or college in one or more of the following ways:
- Support a school or college on a specific careers project, where your insights from industry will play a vital role in ensuring its meaningful delivery;
- Share your knowledge and experience of the local labour market, key skills and recruitment to inspire and raise aspirations of students;
- Support the school or college’s Careers Leader to develop a strategic careers plan to ensure every student receives meaningful employer encounters and workplace experiences;
- Engage the school or college with local businesses and employers in your network to encourage their involvement in engagement activities;
- Help the school or college to focus efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating students, supporting independent choice and enabling positive outcomes for students.
