Parent Engagement
In 2025, South Midlands Careers Hub commissioned a survey to be conducted by Amazing
Apprenticeships of parents and carers with secondary school-aged children, regarding
their confidence, interest and awareness of post-16 and post-18 options. The survey
generated 5,978 responses from across 53 schools.

Parent/carer feedback – why is it important?
- Engaging a key stakeholder: Gaining feedback from parents/carers is a great opportunity to connect with key influencers in your school community and gather their perspectives.
- Inform Your Careers Programme: The feedback will help tailor your careers programme to better meet the needs of your students and their families.
- Strengthened Parental Engagement: Gaining feedback supports parental engagement, which is emphasised across the updated Gatsby Benchmarks.
