I would like to invite you to take part in our Future Opportunities event, which will be held on: Thursday 22nd January 2026 14.30 β 18.15 Vandyke Upper School. By inviting representatives from external providers and industries, we offer everyone impartial access to a range of opportunities (for Post 16 and Post 18). This, we hope will encourage all students to become more aware of many of the future options open to them once they have achieved their qualifications. Our intention, is to show that learning is a lifelong journey and that the variety of subjects a student studies can influence their future career interests.

BookPost 16 and Post 18 Opportunities
We’re inviting employers and providers to our post-16 and post-18 careers event, with the aim of encouraging students to become aware of the many options available to them.
Please could you supply a visual display stand offering simple but factual information, along with a representative from your company who can answer student questions (ages 13 – 19yrs), also accompanied by parents. We are expecting at least 400 students during the evening (other schools also invited).
We provide light refreshments from 14:30 for representatives attending. If you have any requirements, please let us know.
We would greatly appreciate your involvement.
BookYear 11 Mock Interviews
These will be held with our Year 11 students to help boost their confidence and interview skills. We understand that committing to the full day may not be possible, so any time or support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Students will come down and have a 1-2-1 face to face interview with an external volunteer. The students will receive some feedback from the volunteers to allow them the chance to improve for the next interview they may have.
